Getting Started with driving lessons in Poole and Bournemouth
So you have decided you want to start taking driving lessons in Poole
That's great!
However, there is a lot you can do for yourself before you even approach a driving instructor. This should help you reduce the number of lessons required as well as get you your license quicker.
Firstly you will need to obtain a provisional license.You can follow the link to the DVLA here. In order to do this you must be at least 16 years and 9 months of age or older (15 years and 9 months or older if in receipt of disability living allowance at the higher rate).
Secondly you need to be able to read a license plate from a distance of no less than 20 meters (with or without spectacles).
You can start to read up on your theory test. To do this we would recommend the use of a CD-Rom here which contains all the latest multiple choice questions as well as the Hazard perception test. We can supply you with one if you so wish or you can purchase one yourself from any good newsagent.
When you think you are ready you can take a free practise theory test and even book yourself in for a real theory test here.
Don't book yourself in too early though. If you can consistantly achieve a pass mark with the mock tests on the CD-Rom then you should be ready.
